Saunas for Hot Yoga!

by Neil Peterson

A Hot Yoga Studio in Your Own Home!

The University of Maryland Medical Center describes Hot Yoga or Bikram Yoga as “a series of 26 asanas (postures) done in a room that is 95 to 100 degrees. The goal is to warm and stretch the muscles, ligaments, and tendons, and to purify the body through sweat.” This new twist on yoga has gained tremendous popularity in recent years as yogis have come to realize the added benefits of increased flexibility and detoxification that the elevated temperatures provide.

Here at Peterson sauna, we are now offering saunas with retracting, fold-up benches for customers interested in using our units for Hot Yoga. – Just set our heater to your desired temperature and you’ll instantly have a perfect quiet and private space to practice hot yoga!

With yoga studio memberships commonly priced over $150/ month and nearly $2000 a year, a dedicated yogi could realistically pay for their sauna in about two years of membership fee savings.

Because of our flexibility (no yoga pun intended) as a 100% custom manufacturer, we can work with the space you have available to create the perfect hot yoga space for you.

We’ve also designed and built custom changing rooms/yoga rooms, which work great for containing the heat produced by the sauna heater in the adjacent room. These rooms also provide a great option for your own home hot yoga studio!

Please remember the importance of staying hydrated while exercising in elevated temperatures, as mentioned on this page for The national center for Complementary and Integrated Health (https://nccih.nih.gov/health/yoga/introduction.htm). They also cover the many benefits of yoga in general!
